By using PermitRoadmap, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

What the service is

PermitRoadmap is an independent informational service that helps Florida homeowners and contractors understand likely permit requirements and prepare for their projects. We provide a free checker, guides, and an optional paid Permit Prep Pack. We are not a government agency, not a building department, and not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. Not a substitute for the permitting authority

Our guidance is general and may not reflect the exact requirements for your property or the current rules in your jurisdiction. Only your local building department can confirm what your project requires and issue a permit. You agree to verify requirements with the authority having jurisdiction before relying on any result or starting work.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, resell our content without permission, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The site, its content, and our guides are protected by intellectual property law; you may use them for your own project planning but not republish them as your own.

Permit Prep Pack purchases

The Permit Prep Pack is a one-time digital product built from the answers you provide. Delivery is electronic (a downloadable PDF and an online copy). Purchases are subject to our Refund Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that guidance is complete, accurate, current, or fit for your particular project.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PermitRoadmap and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for fines, stop-work orders, failed inspections, delays, or other losses arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
