The short version

We collect only what we need to run the permit checker, deliver a Permit Prep Pack you buy, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information. This policy explains what we collect and your choices.

Information we collect

• Project details you enter. When you use the free checker or the $7,500 exemption tool, we store the answers you provide (project type, location you select, and related choices) so we can generate and save your result. You do not need an account to use the checker.
• Purchase information. If you buy a Permit Prep Pack, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of the order, the email you provide for delivery, and the result the Pack was built from.
• Contact messages. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
• Usage data. Like most websites, we collect standard technical data (pages visited, device and browser type, referring page) through analytics to understand what is useful and fix problems.

How we use it

We use this information to generate your permit result, deliver and support a Pack you purchase, respond to you, keep the site secure, and improve our guides and tools. We do not use your project answers to identify you publicly.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that help us operate: our hosting and database provider (Vercel and Supabase), our payment processor (Stripe), and our email delivery provider, each acting on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work and analytics to measure usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may work less smoothly if you do.

Data retention and security

We keep saved results and orders as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of non-essential communications. Reach us through our contact form and we will respond.

Children

PermitRoadmap is intended for adults managing property or construction projects and is not directed to children under 13.
