We want the site to work for everyone. Here is how we build for accessibility and how to report a barrier.

Our commitment
We want PermitRoadmap to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a practical standard and to improve continuously.
What we do
- Use semantic headings and landmarks so the page structure is clear to assistive technology.
- Provide descriptive alt text on images in our guides.
- Aim for readable color contrast in text and interface elements.
- Support keyboard navigation and visible focus for interactive controls.
- Write in plain language and lead with the direct answer.
Known limits
We are a small team and some pages may not yet fully meet our target. Third-party components (for example, payment checkout) are outside our direct control, though we choose providers with accessibility in mind. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time task.
Report a barrier
If you hit an accessibility barrier on the site, tell us what happened and the page you were on, and we will work to fix it and offer the information another way in the meantime. Reach us through our contact form.
